Ibex (formerly Photo Storage Saver) is designed so your photos and videos never leave your device — on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Your photo library

• Photos and videos are read locally through Apple’s PhotoKit framework, only after you grant Photos permission.
• Duplicate detection (Apple’s Vision framework) and photo/video compression (AVFoundation) run entirely on your device.
• Your photos, videos, filenames, and library contents are never uploaded. The app makes no network calls with your photo data.

What we collect

Anonymous diagnostics only. The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to receive:

• Crash data — crash reports so bugs can be found and fixed.
• Usage data — anonymous counts of feature use and coarse size buckets (for example, “a compression reclaimed between 100 MB and 1 GB”).

This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking, matching the app’s App Store privacy label. It never includes photo content, filenames, asset identifiers, location data, or anything else personal. There is no advertising and no account.

On-device intelligence

Current and future “intelligence” features (such as AI-written scan summaries) run entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device models (Apple Intelligence). Your photos and library statistics are never sent to us or to any third party. If a future optional feature ever used Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, it would be clearly disclosed, off by default, and strictly opt-in — and this policy would be updated first.

Purchases

None. The app is completely free, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
